Zyber Zing

Custom Multi-Vendor E-Commerce Marketplace

Our client wanted to launch a marketplace where independent vendors could list products, manage their own inventory, and receive payouts, without an off-the-shelf platform forcing tradeoffs on their business model.

The primary challenge was building vendor onboarding, per-vendor order and inventory management, and split payments in a way that scaled cleanly as vendor count grew.

Existing marketplace plugins covered basic listings but fell short on the split-payment and vendor-specific reporting the business model required.

Project Overview

A custom marketplace built to let multiple independent vendors sell through one storefront.

Challenge

Our client wanted to launch a marketplace where independent vendors could list products, manage their own inventory, and receive payouts, without an off-the-shelf platform forcing tradeoffs on their business model.

The primary challenge was building vendor onboarding, per-vendor order and inventory management, and split payments in a way that scaled cleanly as vendor count grew.

Existing marketplace plugins covered basic listings but fell short on the split-payment and vendor-specific reporting the business model required.

Onboarding vendors with their own catalogs quickly
Managing inventory independently per vendor
Splitting payments accurately between platform and vendors
Making a multi-vendor catalog easy to search and browse
Giving vendors visibility into their own sales performance
Coordinating fulfillment across multiple vendors per order

Key Challenges

Inability to provide real-time service provider tracking and updates
Lack of a centralized platform for managing bookings and workflows
Inefficient scheduling and dispatching of service professionals
Limited payment integration and transaction security
Poor user experience due to lack of intuitive mobile interfaces
Scalability challenges with increasing user and provider demand

Solution

Zyber Zing designed and built a custom multi-vendor marketplace tailored to how the client actually wanted vendors to operate.

Built with React on the frontend and a Node.js and PostgreSQL backend, the platform gives each vendor an independent catalog and order queue.

A dedicated split-payments service automates payouts between the platform and vendors, removing the manual reconciliation that off-the-shelf plugins would have required.

Catalog, orders, and payouts run as separate services, so onboarding new vendors or adding features does not put the core storefront at risk.

Key Features

Vendor Onboarding

Self-service signup and catalog setup for new vendors.

Inventory Management

Vendors manage their own stock and listings.

Split Payments

Automated payout splitting per order.

Unified Storefront Search

Search across all vendor catalogs from one place.

Vendor Analytics

Sales and performance reporting per vendor.

Multi-Vendor Fulfillment

Coordinates fulfillment when an order spans vendors.

Results

Zyber Zing delivered a marketplace platform built around the vendor model the client actually needed, not a generic plugin.

Faster

Vendor Onboarding

Self-service setup reduced time to first listing.

Independent

Vendor Operations

Each vendor manages their own catalog and orders.

Automated

Payment Splitting

Payouts calculate and split without manual reconciliation.

Improved

Vendor Visibility

Vendors track their own sales performance directly.

Scalable

Cloud Infrastructure

Architecture supports a growing vendor base.

The marketplace gave the client a platform built around their actual vendor model instead of a generic plugin's constraints.
